The idea of this dish is brunch hostessing perfection! Gorgeous flavors wrapped in a mostly-prepared-ahead-of-time package drizzled with gooey mouth-full compliments.
My reality of this dish is every recipe I have found or tried to create is just too darn sweet and custardy. Until now.
The pioneer woman has knocked this one out of the park for me and texture and taste nit-pickiness. She even explains why you have a casserole that’s too custardy and the recipe isn’t too sweet.
I adapted the recipe by using almond milk instead of dairy milk and no one was the wiser. I am hosting a brunch in my home this week and this dish will be my main dish. YUM!!
