I’ve taken the last month off from blogging. We’ve had a lot going on and something had to give, so blogging was cut, and now I have tons to share!! I’ll be filling you all in over the next few days/weeks. 🙂
Sunset Singing on Siesta Key
We got a really great opportunity to worship on the beach on Feb 28th over on Siesta Key with the folks at Point of Praise.
There were some stunningly beautiful things that happened:
1) There’s something indescribably incandescent about worshiping the Creator as you watch the sun set over the beachy horizon. Indescribably incandescent.
2) We weren’t even looking for this opportunity! It literally just plopped into our laps, along with another opportunity that we’re not yet ready to share. Change is in the air and it’s exciting, y’all!
3) Stinkerelly’s teachers from last year drove FIVE HOURS to come worship with us and MISSED IT!! But we had a lovely dinner with them. I posted on FB that we were singing and they decided to go! Who would have thought?! It’s wonderful to feel so loved!! It’s equally wonderful to explore the depths of others who love Jesus as we do and I cannot wait to pursue this budding relationship further.
4) It was the first time we’ve ever done an overnight out of town trip together without the kids. That did not suck!!
Anyway, it was a lot of fun and we can’t wait to do it again some time.
The experience wasn’t perfect by any means, but this new attitude of gratitude is definitely causing these eyes to see the good; the silver lining; God’s hand in it all.
God is so good.
(Note: I did NOT take these images … since I’m in them and all. They were provided to us by the wonderful folks at Point of Praise.)
