I’m working on a graduation party for a high school senior we know. (Well, I’m really working for his momma, but you know what I mean.)
She asked me to also consider photographing him for senior photo shoot. Her primary reason was because she was so unhappy with the formal portraits taken by the company employed for the school’s yearbook images. So we decided to do more than just the traditional tux shots and sauntered around a little town square area near their home and his high school before we took care of his formal poses in their home.
Here are some of my favorite shots from that day.
Outside of the formal studio posing, posing a boy is hard. Really hard!! Most of what I thought to tell him to do made him look effeminate. That could very likely be because of how much he favors his momma. It could also be that I just don’t really know how to give good posing directions to guys just yet. I’ll learn. 🙂
Note to self: learn how to properly tie a bow tie.
PS — I don’t remember my camera stats and I’m too lazy to look it up today. :-p
